When a man ejaculates sooner than expected during sexual intercourse, it is called premature ejaculation. This is a common experience for many men at some time. When it happens infrequently, it is not a cause for concern. However, if it happens often, you may be diagnosed with premature ejaculation.
Premature ejaculation can make conceiving a child difficult. If you are trying to have a baby and ejaculation does not occur intravaginally, getting pregnant is going to be challenging.
If you ejaculate within one minute of penetration most of the time or always, or you are unable to delay ejaculation during intercourse most of the time or all the time, you may be diagnosed with this condition. You may feel distressed and frustrated about this, and because of it, avoid any type of sexual intimacy.
There are biological and psychological factors at work in premature ejaculation. This condition is common among men and it is treatable. There are medications available to help. Counseling and/or learning sexual techniques to delay ejaculation can also be beneficial. Once your issues of premature ejaculation are addressed, there should not be a problem with conception.
