Are you considering becoming an egg donor? Neway Fertility offers healthy women between the ages of 20 and 30 the opportunity to donate their eggs. In doing so, you can help a couple who needs assistance in attaining their dream of parenthood and earn $10,000.
What are the Requirements for you to Become an Egg Donor?
There are several requirements for you to qualify as an egg donor. These strict and thorough demands ensure the eggs harvested are high quality for the best chance of success.
First, you will undergo extensive screenings to rule out any chance of complications, including testing for infectious disease carried out according to FDA guidelines. In addition, you will have a fertility workup and be asked to complete a questionnaire on past gynecologic history.
At Neway Fertility, we understand that this will be an emotional journey. Therefore, psychological counseling is also available. For example, you may need help accepting that you are giving up your eggs and will never meet the child they will help create.
The waiting list for donor eggs is extensive, but the donation process is not something to be taken lightly. Other requirements include that you must:
- Be in good psychological and physical shape
- Have a body mass index under 25
- Have been sexually active at least one time
- Have a normal ovarian reserve (this we will know from the initial exams)
- Be a non-smoker and non-drug user
- Not have a history of substance abuse
- Not be on any medications
- Not be adopted
- Be willing to take injections
- Be dependable to make and keep all the appointments
- Be willing to travel to Greenwich or Bridgeport, CT, or New York City for testing
If you pass these and are still interested, you can ask our donor coordinator at Neway Fertility for the complete list of requirements.
Why Donate to Neway Fertility?
When you donate your eggs to Neway Fertility, you get compensation, gift cards for referring friends to become donors and a free physical exam, which will inform you about the state of your fertility. Most importantly, our caring staff will hold your hand throughout the process; it is why many of our donors return to donate again. You can donate six times maximum.
The extraction procedure’s side effects are minimal – you may feel bloated like before your period. Furthermore, it does not affect your chances of future pregnancies.
