Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is a technique that assists in fertilization of an egg when regular insemination would be ineffective. This is ideal when an issue exists with the sperm, such as low sperm count, poor motility, or abnormal morphology. This method allows the embryologist to choose the best sperm out of a sample and then directly inject this single sperm into the egg for fertilization.
